She will be remembered at having visited thia port about eight months ago, when she gained notoriety owing to a Court cast, in which Captain Calder, the master, aad his Lascar crew figured, and which wit settled by some of the men being sent to Calcutta by another veasel. On arrival in London Captain Colder left the vefsel aad Captain James Taylor took charge. She had loaded coal at Cardiff for Bombay, and sailed from there in October, the same day as the ill-fated Tevietdale, Sunny, Gloe, Malleny. and a whole fleet of fine thipa, which almost without exception succumbed to a cyclone that met them that night. Haturally, rin view of the gale and its results, much anxiety was felt for the Nerbudds, and subseanently Mrs Taylor, tbe Captain's wife, received
I intimation from the owners that wreckage had come BBbore which left no doubt that [the Bbtp had gone down with all hands. Captain Taylor had with him aa carpenter of the ship hie nt-phew, a lad named Wm. King, who aU.-> lived at Peterhead with bis widowed mother, his father having been ale 3 lost at tea some year ago. The rest of the crew comprised twenty-seven Ltscarß and twelve Europeans, these being mostly Englishmen. The Nerbudda waa an iron vessel of 1600 tons net register, five years old, and insured.
