[PBXSS ASBOCIATIOH TKJtO&4I(.I INVEECARGILL, September Iβ. The Three Hone Shoes hotel near Keme&rty, East road, was burned to-day with the bulk of the contents. No one was about the premUea but Mrs Brown, wife of the licensee. She was washing, and hnng sheets before the fire to dry and went outside t> continue her work. On returning she found the sheets, table, and wall on fixe. Two men who happened to pass put out the fire to all appearances, and Mrs Brown went on with her work. Shortly after the house was again in flames, and as thexe was no one to assist her it was completely destroyed, only a piano and a few other things being caved. Insurances—On building, £300; on the furniture and stock, £100, both in the ' ew Zealand efficp, which bad re-insuxed half tbe risk on the home with the London and Lancashire. The locs is about £400 above the insurances.
