He also stated that when the winze was down 15ft ho had' left the run of all gold-bearing Btone, and- - from that point down to 86ft he had. not, been able to raise the color of gold,land that he had tried for the Bame by crrosfcißfr i and washing. When the Mining Manage*-' / came into town he gave it as bis opines .that it waa useless attempting to work ajjgr more, and he seemed to think the stone w&a only in small patches, and there was nd regular reef.
