PRESBYTERY.
The ordinary meeting of the Chrfefc, church Presbytery took place at St. Bael's yesterday. There were present—-Be vs. A. M. Be&ttie (Moderator), J. Elmalie, K. Jfo. Oregor, A. Blake, Eiwin, MoKells* Porter, J. Hill (olerk). Maxwell, Cwsf Burnett, Messrs Scott, Kitohie, and Cana! bell. * The Bey. Mr Erwin, Ferry road, urf Eev. Mr Niven, Dunedin, were acsociatei with the Presbytery for the day. The Bey. Mr Biattib submitted a repots of his and the Bey. McNeil's Presbjterial visit to Tinwald and Flemington. The report was of a satisfactory nature, both as to temporal and spiritual affairs. The report was adopted, together with the suggestion that the Presbytery reoonj. mended the charge to the Churoh Exteasion Fund for a grant. . ; A Committee, consisting of the Berg* Elmslie and McKellar and Mr Bitohie, wit appointed to visit Kaiapoi. Mr Scott said the Committee appointed had carefully considered the Assembly expense and Presbytery expense funds, aud reported that as its labours were not completed, he would at k for thb Committee to be continued. Mr Soott'B request was granted.
