ARRIVAL OF THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL.
[Bγ TtJGTUTH.J [Per 8.8. City of Sydney, at Auckland.] AUCKLAND, February 8. The City of Sydney arrived at ten this forenoon. She left San Francisco on the afternoon of January 18th, and had pleasant weather. The last forty-eight hours , strong S.E. winds and rough sea. Pas- , sengers—For Auckland—Saloon: Messrs James Ashbury (yacht owner), H. Craig (Manager N.Z. Insurance Company's Branch, San Francisco), Ot. Brown (" ConImmortality " lecturer), Mrs Baker j(4 children), Miss Gardner, Miss Leon, Mrs Fabin, Price, D. §mith, Leopold, Stack; fire in the steerage. Fifteen cabin and thirty-four steerage passengers for Sydney. 4 * >Among the through passengers is -.Mv Simonsen. Among the cargo for Auckland are 760 cases of salmon and 287 cases of canned goods. For Sydney—3l6B bags of maise, 5477 doors, 100 boxes hops, 3525 cases salmon, 1268 eases canned goods. The mail steamer leaves for Sydney at eight o'clock tonight. The Hawea left with the Southern San Francisco mails at fire o'clock this afternoon.
