Wheat of good sound milling quality, more especially Hunter's and pearl., meeta with a little better inquiry far local consuinpticii, while Tuscan is coming into request for setd purposes. In cats little business has traaspirijl, an 1 so cliisge in values has taken Barl-ay i* not in anyway affected, and may Thj quot««l for awaQe at present prices.. sye grass, clean parcels, command a ready sale. -Pctatoes—'. here has been a Tery fair inquiry daring the week, owing to space bavins Wn engaged that must be filled, in consequence ot ■β-hich better prices iiaxe -been, obtained- la dairy produce there is no change worthy ot note. Quotations a3 under:— « Tffhaafc—Tuscan, 3s sd; psarl, 8s 4-i; Hunter's. 3s 2d to 3a 3d; second quality, 2e Sd to 23 6d; fowl whest. Is 9d to 2e.
Oats—Prime milling, a* 4di bright feed, 2s 2d to 2a 3d; discolored and inferior, is Barley—FiretrclMß malting, 4e; second quaHty, 3s 3d to 3s 6d; feed, 2s, delivered at Cnristchurxdi. Peas and Beans—33 to 3i 3d for the former, 2s 9d to 3s for the latter. Bye Grass Seed—Well-cleaned farmers* parcels, 3s 6d to 3a 9d; machine dressed, Potatoes—Derwents, 355, delivered at country stations within twelve miles. Butter and Cheese—7£d to 9d for the former, 4d to sid for the latter. The above quotations, with the exception of barley and potatoes, are those paid to farmers when delivered f.o.b. at Lyttelton.
