GRAIN AND PRODUCE.

There has been no change of any consequence in the cereal market since our last report, business continuing extremely dull, -while transactions are few and unim por_nt Wheat has stall a downward tendency, and even sound parcels have become all but unsa'eable. During the past week, it is true, there has been some little inquiry for hard wheats, but it does not seem to have had any perceptible—effect on the market. Prime sound—SOing wheat is ■quoted at Ss to 3s 2d, and Tuscan Ss 3d, t.o.h. Damaged and inferior parcels are practically unsaleable. " Oata remain at last quotations., although the outside inquiry has fallen off. Stout T-;n;n_- arc quoted at 2s 4d, bright short feed 2s 2d to — 3d, inferior lots range from is 6d, f.0.b., upwards. Barley—Prime malting meets with a good . inquiry at 4s; medium qualities are dull at Ssto3_6d; feed lots are difficult of sale from — upwards. Peas —Blue Prussians are quiet at 3s 3d. Beans are slow of s_le at 2s 6d to 2s lOd. Grass Seed.—Bye grass is nominal, cocksfoot 3. 4 to 4d for clean heavy seed. Potatoes are very dull, in spite of {large shipments to Sydney. Quotations stand at about 27s 6d at country stations. Dairy l*roduce—Butter ia unaltered at 8d to lOd; cheese mests with an improved inquiry at 4_d to £d.
