TEMPLETON.
The children of the Templeton district school had their annual treat in the Bchool grounds on Friday, December 21st. The Committee had provided a plentiful supply of tea, cakes, buns, Ac., and also a number of toys, which were run for during the day. After the children had their tea, the prizes were distributed, a number of the parents and friends being present. tion: — Stai>dard VL—Agnes Blake, 1. Standard V.—Alice Davison 1, John Voice 2, EmUy Voice 3, Charles Benjamin 4. Standard IV.—James Benjamin 1, Maud Avton 2, Jane Dawson 3, Thomas Voice, Jun, 4, Frederick Humms. Standard Hl.—Jane Jones 1, Elisabeth Lynham 2, Edith Simmons 3, Lilly Lynham 4, Samuel Vose 5. Standard —.—EmUy Hampton 1* Louis Maddison 2, Samuel Davison 3, Peter Chaplin 4, Mabel Humms. Standard I.—Geo. .Brown 1, Thos. Marsh and Mary Ellis (equal) 2, Lewis Wright 3, Mary Ann Marsh 4. Besides which each of the chUdreninthe infant classes received a small book. After the prizes were given the children adjourned to the schoolroom and sang several pieces very nicely. Cheers for the Chairman, Committee, and teachets concluded the proceedings.
