IN PURSUANCE of the powers contained in the above-mentioned Act, the Lyttelton Harbour Board ordain ac follows :— FROM AND AFTER the coming into force of this By-Law, the following shall be the PILOTAGE BATES which shall be paid by all vessels not exempted by the provisions of the said Aot coming into and going out of the Port of Lyttelton for any pilotage service within the limits of the Port. PILOTAGE.—ON ALL BAILING VESSELS over 100 tons register, Threepence per ton register each way. STEA.MEKB will be charged Two-thirds of the rate of pilotage charged on a sailing vessel of similar tonnage. When a pilot is detained ou board any vessel whilst under quarantine, or by any act or default of the master or officer of euch vessel, a fee or sum of Twenty Shillings per day shall be paid by such veesel. The above rates shall be paid in the case of vessels entering the port, immediately on entering inwards at the Custom House, and in the case of vessels leaving, before clearing outwards at the Customs. If any person liable to pay any dnes or charges in respect of any of the matters herein provided tot evades or attempts to evade the payment of any dues, or offends against any of the provisions of this By law, he shall incur and be liable to a penalty not exceeding twenty pounds, to be recovered in the manner provided by the said Act.
