ANEW TIME TABLE comes into force on the 12th inst., in which the following ALTERATIONS in BTARTING TIMES of TRAINS are made -.— Ohristchurch to Lyttelton—6 50 a.m., 7.25 a.m., 10.20 am., 8.30 p.m., altered to 6.55 a.m., 7.30 a.m., 10.25 a.m., 8.10 p.m. Lyttelton to Christchnrch—7.2s am,, 12.45 p.m., 9.0 p.m., altered to 7.30 a.m., 12.40 p.m., and 8.40 p.m. Chrietchurch to Amberley—7.3o a.m., 11.50 a.m., altered to 7.35 a.m., and 11.55 a.m Amberley to Christchurch— 7.4o a.m., altered to 7.45 a.m. Christchurch to Springfield and Southbridge— 7.20 a.m., altered to 7.25 a.m. Chriatchurch for South—B.o a.m. express, 1.20 p.m. and 4.20 p.m., altered to 8.15 a.m. express, 1.15 p.m., and 4.35 p.m. The speed of the express i 3 accelerated, bo that it arrives at Bakaia at same time as at present, and Aehbnrton four minutes earlier than at present. Ashburton to Chrietcherch— 7.s a.m., 5.48 p.m. express, altered to 7.10 am.and 5.40 p.m. express. The 11.0 a.m. train Ashburton to Cbristchurch leaves Bakaia and stations between Bakaia and Hornby two minutes earlier than at present. The speed of the express is accelerated, so that it leavf s Bakaia at 6 26 p.m., Bolleston at 7.16 p.m., and arrives at Chriatchnrch at 7.50 p.m. Ashburton to Timarn—6.ss a.m., 10.36 a.m. express, 4.50 p.m., altered to 6.50 a.m., 10.32 a.m. expreee, and 4.45 p.m. Timarn to Ashbnrton—7.3s a.m., altered to 7.30 am. The 3.20 p.m. express from Timaru leaves Temnka five minutes earlier than at present, and runs six minntes earlier than at present between Temnka and Ashbnrton. ' The 4.35 p.m. from Timaru in accelerated between Timarn and Bangitata. It leaves Kangitata and Stations between Bangitata and Ashbnrton five minntes earlier than at present. Timarn to Oamaru—l.lo p.m. express, altered to 1.0 p.m.

This train leaves St. Andrews ten minutes, Makikihi fifteen minutes, Studholme Junction sixteen minates earlier than at present, and does not etop at Waitaki South. Oamara to Timaru —12.32 p.m. express* altered to 12 53 pm. This train does not etop at Waitaki Sonth ; leavee Stndholme Junction eighteen minntes, Makikihi thirteen minutes, and St. Andrews seven minutes later than at present. The express trains etop at Otaio on Satnrdays if required. Waimate to Stndholme Junction—l.ls d m altered to 1.35 p.m. Studholme Junction to Waimate—2.2s p m altered to 2.10 p.m. "' This train takes passengers to and from both express trains, and the 144 p.m. train, Studholme to Waimate, and 2.5 p.m., Waimate to Studholme, will sot run.
