The nomination of candidates took place at thj Colonists* Hall, at noon yesterday, Captain GiV son, tho Returning Officer, road the writ, e/ter which tho following gentlenion were nominstel .— Mr J. E. Willcox proposed "Sir Hairy illurijh*. Mr Atkinson seconded. Mr Qrnbb proposed the Hon. E. Biotatam, M: Hollis seconded. Mr Beanington proposed Mr S. B» Webb. Mr J. Pitcaithley seconded. After the candidates had briefly addroaod those present, a show of hands was called for, wbAshwa declared to be in favor of Mr Kiohardson. 4,pou was demanded, and the proceedings eonolnSsa'sifc a TOte of thaubs to the Setnrnmg- OiSoer.
