Satubday, July 16. [Before 0. Whitefoord, Esq, R.M.] Labceny as a Bailee.—Samuel Garrett was charged with having appropriated money? the property of "his employer, C. Anderson, sailmaker, Bangiora, amounting to £2 7s. After hearing evidence, the accused, who stated he intended to pay the money, was bound over in his own recognisance of £50, to appear at the Rangiora Court on Tuesday month, the police in the meantime to prepare a report on hie general conduct. Vagrancy.—H; Lancaster, arrested by Constable Haddrell, was charged with begging at Kaiapoi and JBangiora. The case was clearly proved, and accused sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment with labor.
