Wednesday, January 6. (Before C. Whitefoord, Esq, R.M., and F. H. M. Walker, Esq.) POLICE ORDINANCE. W. A. Benn was charged, on the information of T. Hoben, with having used language towards him calculated to provoke a breach of the peace. Complainant first called accused a liar, when accused threatened to kick him out of his store. Case dismissed. CIVIL CASES. Benn and Co v Hoben, claim £7 7s 9d ; judgment for plaintiff for £5 and costs. J*. White and Co v C. J. Harper, claim £16 18s 6d, price of turnip seed, about which there seemed to have been some misunderstanding ; judgment for plaintiff for amount and costs.
