BOROUGH OF KAIAPOI. I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that in pursuance of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, S. 83, I appoint MONDAY, the 13th day of SEPTEMBER next, for the purpose of electing three persons, being duly qualified, to act as Councillors for the Borough of Kaiapoi, to fill the vacancies- occasioned by three Councillors going out of office. I require all candidates at sach election to be nominated at the Council Chamber within the borough aforesaid, on Thursday, the 2nd day of September next, at the hour of noon j and I require that any person desirous of nominating a candidate or candidates shall before four of the clock in the afternoon of Wednesday, the Ist day of September next, cause to be delivered to mc a nomination paper, in the form in the 9th schedule to the said Act, or to the like effect, stating therein the christian name and surname of each and every, such candidate, together with the other particulars required in and by the said schedule. Such nomination paper shall be signed by not less than three persons duly qualified to vote at such election, and also signed by the person named therein as a caudate in token of assent to being so named.
