IN ACCORDANCE with Clause 113 of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1867, I hereby appoint FRIDAY, the J7th day of September next for the ELECTION of a COUNCILLOR to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Councillor John Craib Angus. . And I hereby require all candidates at such election to be nominated as hereinafter mentioned, before the day of nomination (SATURDAY, tbe 4th day of September), at the office of the Town Clerk. Any persons desirous of nominating a candidate, must do so by leaving at the office of the Town Clerk not later than 4 o'clock in the afternoon on FRIDAY, the 3rd of September next, a nomination paper in the form or to the effect given in the 9th schedule to the Act; such nomination paper must be signed-by not less than three persons duly qualified to vote at the election, and also by the person named therein as candidate.
