Mails for Otago and Southland will close at Christ church at 11 30 a m on Monday, the 22nd instant. Mails for the Northern ports of New Zealand will close at Chriatchurch at 1 45 p m on Wednesday, the 24th met. As it is believed the s s Omeo will not leave Hokitika for Melbourne till late on Wednesday night, letters for the Australian colonies may be posted till 6 p m on the 22nd inst., and will be forwarded overland.
