DUNEDIN.
So far as we can learn, no change has taken place in wholesale values of general merchandise during to-day. The news from Adelaide, by the Alhambra, is calculated to strengthen the local flour market. At the mills, prices are firm at last week's reduced rates. Wheat is said to have been sold at 4b 9d in town ; but the quantity changing hands is very small. Seoond-clasß samples have been sold at 3s 6d. The demand for oats is not so active, and ex* treme prices are barely maintained. Malting barley is enquired for; but for milling purposes the demand is easier, unless for immediate delivery. —•* New Zealand Sun," Maroh 12.
