IS HEREBY GIVEN, that in % pursuance of tho provisions of the Lyttelton Municipal Council Ordinance, 1862, a MEETING of the RATEPAYERS of the Municipality will be holden in the Large Room Colonists' Society, Lyttelton, at the hour 'of Noon on TUESDAY, tho Uth j JANUARY, 1863, being the second Tuosday in January, for the purpose of electing SEVEN MEMBERS to serve in the room of Mesdrs Thomas Mnjor Gee, John Grubb, John Hill, Joseph Ward, John Smith Willcoi, Sydney Evelyn Wright, and James Thomas Wellington Wilkin, who aro eligible for re-election, with the exception of the first and last-named gentlemen. The members elected to serve in the room of Messrs Willcox and Wilkin, retire by rotation in January, 18R9 ; the other members serve till January, 1870. The poll, if necessary, will be tafeen on Wednesday, January 15, 1868, from ten a.m. to four p m., and the result will be declared at fifteen minutes past four o'clook p.m. of the day of polling.
