POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
On and after Wednesday next, the 11th inetant, the mails between Lyttelton and Christchurch will be carried by railway. The mails will be thrice daily between the Port and City, which, until further notice, will close at. the Chief Office at 8.30 a.m., TIRO. •',,,., ,i, i 130 p.m. The return mails w,.i >■ ■< :-i U i into the Christchurch private boxes ud 10.45 a.m., 1.45 p.m., and 6.45 p.m. The daily deliveries by the letter carriers will commence at 11 a.m and 2' p.m. At Lyttelton the mails for Christchurch will close at 9.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m., and 5.30 p.m. The return mails will be sorted into the private boxes afc 9.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m., and 5.30 p.m. The Lyttelton letter carrier will commence his delivery at 9.45 a.m. and 12.45 pm. On the same date the Post-office at Heathcote Valley will be removed to the Railway-station, Heathcote Valley. The mails for this office will close at Chrietchurch at 830 a.m., and at Lyttelton at 9.30 a.m. At the station the mails for Chrietchurch will close at 1 p.m., and for Lyttelton at noon. The Post-office at Ferrymead station will be closed. Mails for Ferry road will close at Chrietchurch at 8.30 a,m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and at Ferry road for Christchurch at 3 p.m. on the same days. F. E. Weight, Chief Postmaster.
