A sale "of £100.000 Canterbury Six per Cents (the half-million loan) has just been effected on terms much higher than were previously attainable for so large an amount of a provincial stock. In this state of the market all the Otago Six per Cents offering at or under 94 appear to have been taken up, and holders now ask 95 and upwards To-day the Bank of NewZ-aland, acting for the Auckland Provincial Governnv nt, offer for sale on the Bth instint £200,000 Six per Cents, part of the half-million loan of that province, due 1896—the pi-ice is reserved. Otago Six per Cents may now he quoted 91-7, and Canterbury (half-million fifty years' loan) Six per Cents, 90-5
