Our commercial transactions (or the past week have been confined to sales for local consumption, the bad state of the roads and the unsettled etate of the weather almost putting a stop to all up-country trade. Our imports continue to be sufficient to supply our market, without causing a glut of any one kind of merchandise. There, haa been no change in our flour market since our last—best brands of Adelaide being £24 to £25 per ton. O&te are not co much in demand, but are saleable, in quantity, at 4s to 4s 6d per bushel. Bran is scarce, and worth 2s 6d to Ss per bushel. Hay, £6 per ton; chaff, £8 per ton. Potatoes of fair quality meet with a ready •ale at £7 to £8 per ton. Hams and bacon are still scarce, sales being confined to colonial, in small lots, at Iβ 5d to Iβ 6d per lb, there being no English in the market. Wines and spirits meet with fair demand. Hennesay'e Martell's, and other good brands of brandy, 8a to 9a per gallon ; whiskey, 4s per gallon ; rum, 10 op., 3a 6d per gallon; geneva, JDKZ, 18s per case ; port and sherry wines, as per quality, f/om £60 to £100 per pipe or butt. Oilman's stores are in fair supply, at paying rates to the importers. Bottled ale and porter is scarce; best brands are worth, for mixed lots, 13s per dot Sulk ale, new brew, £10 per hhd.
