No communications from correspondents will receive attention unless accompanied by the name and address of the writer. The ' Press' will not be responsible for any opinions contained in communications from correspondents.
For the convenience of future subscribers, the first volume of 'The Press' will be carried, on to the end of the year, when a title page will be furnished to subscribers. The new volume will commence on the Ist January, 1862, and will consist, for the present, of twelve pages. We desire to call attention of advertisers to the fact that all the advertisements in ' The Press' are bond fide paying advertisements—the practice of keeping what are technically termed '•dummies. ,, being avoided in our columns.
