Auctioneers Report On Te Puke Sale
The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co. Ltd. report on their fortnightly stock sale held at Te Puke on September 26. All classes of pigs were penned in large numbers. Competition on the very attractive yarding of bacon was extra keen and a good sale for this class resulted. Buttermilk pigs were not so keenly sought as at other sales, while store pigs and weaners also eased in values. A medium entry of fat cows, boners and dairies came forward. Values for fat cows showed a further increase while boners and store cows sold on late rates. %
A small yarding of dairies sold'at improved rates. The small yarding of sheep was not as keenly sought as at late sales. Quotations: —
