Motor Cycle Reliability Trial
Three riders from Whakatane, representing the Bay of Plenty Motor Cycle Club will be competing in the Auckland Motor Cycle Club’s 24-hour reliability time trial to be held on October 28 and 29. They are H. Lowe and R. Woods, who will both Be riding an A.J.S. and D. McGlashen on a Matchless. The course for the trial will pass through the Bay of Plenty, including Whakatane, Te Puke and Tauranga. The riders will leave Auckland for Hamilton, then Taupo, Rotorua, Whakatane, Tauranga, Paeroa, Thames and back to Auckland, the course providing approximately 24 hours continuous riding.
First prize will be the John Bull trophy, £lO and a tyre. The riders should pass through Whakatane and Tauranga in the early hours of the morning.
