Association Of Deerstalkers Formed In Bay Of Plenty
Forty deerstalkers . from various parts of the Bay of Plenty decided, at a meeting recently, to form a Bay of Plenty branch of the New Zealand Deerstalkers’ Association.
The object of the association is to endeavour to preserve areas for genuine stalkers. Recent extermination by Government cullers had depleted many areas, reducing the amount of sport available. Officers elected: —
President, Mr H. E. Monk; vicepresident, Mr J. Barrow; secretary, Mr R. P. Jennings (Mount Maunganui); executive, Messrs W. Dowman, R. Benjamin, C. J. Kiddie, Stephens, E. Pemberton, R. Poole, J. Gresham and F. F. Jennings.
