Piles Of Children's Clothing Left At Primary School
There must be a large number of •children at .Whakatane who have caused 'their parents some anxiety by losing some portions of their clothing. That is if the varied collection now at the Whakatane Primary School is any indication. Over
the past few months coats, shoes, socks, boots, shirts and other articles have been heaped at the school and although appeals have been made to. the children and to parents through the children to lessen the pile so far very little has been done. According to the headmaster, Mr .A. H.- Fryer-Raisher, the clothing has been accumulating •>, for -some time. It must belong to the children and some of the articles are alA .most new. He suggests that parents should check with their children and find if they have all their clcth-
ing and if there is any missing come along to the school and inspect the pile. Most of the clothing is unnamed. This has made the attempts of the school staff to trace the owners almost impossible, and it is suggested that parents should name all clothing worn by children to school. If •any then go astray it will be comparatively easily to find the owners'.^
