Car Market Harder As Result of “War Scare”
■ A hardening of the motor ear market in Whakatane is believed by dealers to be the result of the “War Scare.”
Because of re-armament in Britain factories are turning away from car production and fewer new cars are likely to be imported, it is reported. Some hardening of the used car market is likely to result from the likely scarcity of new cars, it is said by dealers.
