New H.S.A. Officers Elected
Despite bad weather there was a large attendance to the annual meeting of the Branch of the Homeservicemen’s Association. The meeting was attended by the president of the Whakatane Returned Services’ Association, Mr T. Macken, and the Area 2 councillor, Mr C. Ricketts, Wairoa. Officers elected: —
President, Mr R. Spong; vicepresident, Mr F. Kerr; secretarytreasurer, Mr H. D. London; committee, Messrs R. C. Vail, W. E. Hume, J. F. Wilson, C. Aitken, S. Hotene, S. N. Armstrong; delegate to rehabilitation committee, Mr F. Clarke; delegate to Patriotic Welfare Committee. Mr E. A. Ramson; delegate to Northern District Convention, Mr London.
