Ruatoki Players For Maori League Team?
“From what I saw of t cday’s games you have some first class material here for big matches,” declared Mr S. Watene, member of the New Zealand Maori League Control Board, Auckland, at a meeting of the Bay of Plenty Rugby League Union at Ruatoki on Saturday night. He was comenting on the standard of play of league players from Rotorua and Ruatoki. ■ Mr Watene said that he would be returning to the Bay of Plenty to select players for the Maori team which is to play Australia later in the year.
