FORTHCOMING VISIT

GISBORNE SURF CLUB DEMONSTRATION AT OHOPE As a result of representations by the Whakatane Surf and Life Saving Club, twenty members of the Gisborne Surf Club will visit Ohope Beach on February 22nd and will give a display of rescue and reel work for the benefit of the local club.

It is hoped in this manner to give an indication of the standard of efficiency which can be achieved by the Whakatane Club in the future. Billets for the visitors are still required, some six not being placed for the weekend. Persons who can help in this respect are asked to leave their names either at the Beacon Office or with Mr R. Cobbe, Ohope.
