Owing to the present conditions effecting the installation of consuming equipment, and the supply of electricity only a small increase in the gross sale of electricity has been allowed for in the estimates for the ensuing year. When the recent concessions to consumers by way of discounts estimated to amount to £5500 for the year, was deducted, the. nett results indicated £1791 below the year ended 31st March, 1944, in spite of which a resultant credit balance of £664 is anticipated over the year's operations. The above forecast can be considered satisfactory if maintained through the future period of restrictions.
