EQUAL PAY URGED A resolution urging equal pay foi work performed by women wdio take men's jobs during the war was passed at the annual meeting of the Wellington Trades Council held at the Trades Hall. The resolution requested the national executive of the Federation ef Labour to give immediate attention to the matter, with a view to having the wages of such women brought up to those of the men whose jobs they have tilled. The 1 report of the executive disclosed that there are now 35,000 f .rade unionists affiliated tc the Trades Council. Delegates unanimously adopted the report on the past year's activities, and expressed appreciation of the services given by the officers and executive of the council.
