Will the fact that we have raised that sum make one iota of difference to the ability or willingness of America, Australia, or Britain to produce bombers? A week after the sinking of the Prince of Wales, the City of Edinburgh raised £15,000,000 to replace the battleship. That Was months ago. Where is the new Prince of Wales, so generously subscribed by Edinburgh? Is there one more keel on the slipways because of the subscription?
