RUNS AMOK IN BILLIARD SALOON

POLICE RESISTED

Far no other reason than an apparent over indulgence in spirit's a Maori ran amok in a local billiards saloon. In a short time he had done considerable damage, but was soon under lock and' key at the local gaol. The incident took pilace at 2.40 p.mi on Saturday. His sudden frenzy resulted in him breaking windows, smashing billiards cues, throwing a ball through the wall and when the Police arrived Constable Thomasen was attacked, a taxi driver assaulted and considerable trouble experienced before the cells were reached. The Maori is to appear in court this morning.
