A newly appointed subaltern was talking to a major in the camp when two Aussies amblecl past with their hands in their pockets. "They didn't salute us, sir," said the sub. "That's all young man," said the major. "Didn't you notice they walked round us? We're lucky. In the last war they used to knock us over."
