ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING
As a result of an enthusiastic meeting which took place on Friday night at which Mrs L. Balfour, District Commissioner of Gisborne delivered an address on the movement it has been decided to fornf 1 a Company of the Girl Guides. ii»» Whakatane, and parades are to commence after the school holidays. Miss Allen has been appointed Gukler in charge of the Companywhile Mrs F. Gartshore was elected District Commissioner for Whakatane. • For the purpose of electing a District Committee a public meeting has been called for to-morrow to commence a#-.-,3-.30 p.m., andi this will be the Parish Hall.> It is hoped that all interested in the movement will be in attendance.
