PLUNKET SOCIETY
LOCAL MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of tlic Whakatane Plunket Society was held in the rooms on the 28th July, at 7-30 p.m. Those present were Mesdames Southey (chair), Zinsli. Kendall and Cairns. A.pologies received from Mesdames Shapley. Dixon and Luxton. During a general business discus-r-'ion, Mrs Southey expressed regret that the Mayor was unable to he presxMit or find a substitute to preside at the annual meeting, and also that out of over 100 mothers who avail themselves of Nurse- Armstrong's services, not cne attended the meeting. Arrangements Avere then made for another Bridge afternoon to raisa funds, to be held on the 18th Augnst in the Parish Hall.
