W.W.S.A. ACTIVITIES * MEMBERS ENTHUSIASTIC Members of the local Women'? War Service. Auxiliary remain very enthusiastic and excellent progress is being made in the many departments of training. The visit of the Department of Internal Affairs physical training instructor, Miss Stephenson, proved very beneficial, en both nights the attendance' at the Winter Show Hall being large and approximately 60 members of -tin* Auxiliary taking part in the exercises. Those who have l taken t.he course of instruction will in turn coach other members. Transport Unit. The members of the 'Transport Corps arc to sit for examinations on Thursday next. The classes in mechanics have been keen and it is expected that a good pei'ccntagc of passes will result. Home Nursing. In the Home Nursing Department the members have undertaken to make all the bandages required for the field service stations established throughout the county by the Emergency Precautions Scheme executive committee. Mrs Prideaux is hi charge of these activities and has many willing helpers. Medical Supplies. The Auxiliary's District Committee met recently the medical supplies for the emergency clearing stations having come to hand and these were allotted to the districts where bases have been established, the members taking their quota of supplies to be stored in each district.
