Captain J. W. Wilson leaves on Saturday to undergo a fortnight's course at the-,District Military School at Narrow Neck. Sir Ernest Davis, of Auckland, and Mr and Mrs Partridge, of Australia, passed through Whakatanc 3 r esterday, lunching at the Whakatane Hotel. Mr W. Blennerhassett, who for ;ome months has been in charge o? the local branch of the Bank of New Zealand in a relieving capacity leaves to-morrow to take up duty at Martinborough. Mr H. L. King has arrived to take up the manager's [Dosition at Whakatanc.
