Ryan who was in charge of the party, and who lived here Jn his younger days', Whakatane enjoyed further representation in the persons of Ptes. I. A. and H. P. Sanders of Tlxornton. The Sanders brothers: are wellknown locally, and in a recent Je titer to friends in this district, Bob Sanders gives an interesting description of the Greecian terrain and geographical features. Both men were decorated and will have the singular honour of displaying th p ir me rials on their return. It is; interesting to note further that there lire now fbur Sanders brothers serving with the forces. Besides the *'wo men mentioned, J. Sanders who has been posted as missing since the evacuation of Greece, and Lloyd | Sanders, who has been retained as an instructor in this country, ooiii-' prise the others of this; fighting family who have joined the colours.
