FACTORY RETURNS
BAY OF PLENTY ASSOCIATION
ALL-ROUND INCREASE
Figures supplied by Mr W. G. Lemmon, secretary to the Bay, of Plenty Co-operative Dairy Association, Limited, show that the increase which has been evident throughout the present season, is still being well maintained. During March, 1941, the butterfat supplied to the factory totalled 573, - 968.31b. as compared with 554,613-3 lb in March, 1940. The amounts paid to suppliers on the 20th of the month totalled £33,317, an increase of £1010 over the figure of £32,277 paid in March, 1940.
The total sum paid out for the period July, 1940, to March, 19-11, was £300,861 comparable with £258879 for the corresponding period of the previous year. This amount is an increase of £41,982. The butter manufactured for the July-March period increased by 110 tons llcwt 3qr lib, the figures foi the 1940-41 and 1939-40 periods being 2842 tons 15cwt lqr 181b and 2432 tons 3ewt 2qr 171b, respectively-
