ONEPU FUNCTION
KITCHEN EVENING
A very pleasant evening was spent recently at the Onepu new hall, when a kitchen tea was given by the Residents of Onepu to Miss Margaret Linsell, of "Te T'ahora," in honour of her approaching marriage. Games, competitions and dancing 'Occupied the evening, while a delightful suppsr was served by the ladies of the district.
The guest of the evening was presented charming bouquet, also a to Mr T. J. Wat:son, wTiJsuitably responded. Shoulder sprays were also given to Mrs Linsell and Mrs Watson, mothers of the bride and bridegroom to be. 'The presentations were made by Mrs Ju Thomas, of To Tcko, oil behalf of the people of the district.
During the supper interlude, Mr H. Sparks spoke a few worfls, wishing the young couple much happiness and prosperity in the future
years. The esteem in which they are held in the district,, was shown by the numerous presents and kitchen gifts which were opened toward the close of the evening.
