PARCELS TO EGYPT

Sir, —Tlie Qtakiri Patriotic Committee sent parcels to Egypt last July ancl a letter of thanks and appreciation' has just been received,. \ also the Otakiri Women's Institute sent Xmas parcels and we have received word to say they arrived safe and sound. The letters were written by soldiers from Auckland and Timaru. It is very pleasing to us to know that our parcels are arriving safely and I thought others might be interested to know. The letters also show that the mail service is up to a good standard now. as by air mail one l'etter took 15 days to reach New Zealand and the other seven weeks by boat. Yours etc., G. WHITESIDE (Mrs).
