PERSONAL

Mrs J. L. Burnett has returned after spending a holiday in Christchurch . Second-Lieutenant A. G. Hultquist y M.P., was in Whakatane yesterday, spending part of a short leave. He took the opportunity to visit many old friends. Second-Lieu-tenant Hultquist, who recently was commissioned after an intensive course at Trentliam, passed his final examination with honours, securing 903 marks out of a possible 1000. He will be attached to the 3rd Echelon and will not be in-Whaka-tane again until his final leave.; He left this morning.
