WHEN IS EASTER?
POSER FOR THE FUTURE REFERRED TO THE BEACON' When members of local bodies, social organisations, sports clubs, or Mothers' Unions, find themselves up against a problem which the finest! brains in the town are unable to solve, they invariably ring, write or interview, the local paper. In this instance, it is. the 'BEACON' and the query is Ihe dates in March which will be observed as Easter this year. From various calenders inspected it would appear that this important Christian festival is likely to be observed, on the 22nd, the 27th or the •iOth. Good Friday is set down for both the 22nd and the 29th. One informative calender informs the curious that the actual Easter dates will be decided by the heads of the Christian Churches. We have no knowledge of the conference having taken place as yet, but no doubt it is being kept steadily in view. Unfortunately even the 'BEACON' in this instance must plead ignorance but would welcome any further Tight on a subject which unless finalised definitely soon, will be the cause of considerable trouble and •n convenience.
