POST OFFICE HOURS j NOTIFICATION TO PUBLIC The 'Whakatanc Post Office will observe the folloAving hours during the Christmas and New Year holidays:— Monday, 25th December, Christmas Day: The post office will be closed and no mails will be despatched or delivered. The Telegraph Office will be open from 0 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, 26tli December, Boxing Day: The Post Office will be closed. Mails for Auckland, Frank ton Junction, South Tauranga, Te Puke, Taneatua, Waimana, Opotilti and Gisborne will be closed at 7 a.m. The Telegraph Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, 27th December; Normal attendance will be observed in all branches. Monday, Ist January, 1940, New Year's Day: The Post Office will, be closed. Mails for Auckland, Frankton Junction, South Tauranga, Te Puke, Taneatua, Waimana, Opotiki and Gisborne will be closed at 7 a.m. The Telegraph Office will be open from 9 a.m. lo 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, 2nd January, 1940: Normal attendance will be observed in all branches. A delivery of correspondence will be made over the counter between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the evenings of the 23rd and the 30th December. The Telephone Exchange will observe continuous attendance through out the holidays.
