All dairy companies ha\ - c noAV been informed of the prices and conditions under Avhich the Dominion GoA'ernment is acquiring all butter and cheese exported after July 31, 1939, and which is manufactured after July 31, 1939, and on or before July 31, 1940. Prices are as follows: Creamery Butler. Ninety-four points and over. 15.015 d per lb; 93 to 93% (basic) 14.89 d; 92 to 92% 14.8275 d; 90 to 91% 14.64 d; Second grade, 14.1 id; Avliey, first, 13.89 d; whey, seconc\, 13.39 d. Cheese. Ninety-four points and OA r er, 8.57625 pence per lb; 93 to 93%, 5.545 d; 92 to 92% (basic), 8.42 d; 91 to 91%, 8.3575 d; second grade, 8.17 d. Factories are advised that unsalted butter AA'ill not require to be made. Cheese to be manufactured shall be Avhite cheese and that unAvaxed, but coloured or Avaxed cheese already made, Aviil be accepted for shipment, and paid for at the usual premiums. Rates of insurance for produce from time of delivery of milk or cream to factory to on board ship Avill be deducted from payments made to factories at the folloAving rates: Butter .6d per box; cheese .96d per crate. Insurance of butter and cheese manufactured' for the local market is the responsibility of the factory concerned.-

The Dairy Board levy to be collected on all butter and cheese exported after July 31,, 1939, is 1-50 of Id per lb for butter, and 1-100 of Id for cheese. The deduction Avill be 1.12 d per box of butter, and 1.63 d per crate of cheese. The levies for the Dairy Board on butter and cheese for the local market Avill be the same per pound as for export.

All port markings of butter and cheese for export are cancelled.
