WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

MEETING AT MATATA The Matata Women's Institute held its monthly meeting on September 28th. Mrs Caverhill presided over a good attendance of members and visitors. Two new members joined up, and delegates chosen for the council meeting were Mrs Pollock and Mrs Caverhill. Competitions l were won by the following: Best flower, Mrs Magee 1. Mrs Pollock :2, Mrs Wilson 3. Three small cakes, Mrs Ansel 1, Mrs Wilson 2, Mrs H. Withy 3. Apron, Mrs Hill and Mrs R. Withy tied for first, Mrs Law and Mrs Pollock t'ed for second. Bowl for Mrs Pollock 1, Mrs Smith 2, Mrs R. Withy 3. Hostesses were Mrs Caverhill and Mrs Law.
