WOMEN'S DIVISION

TANEATUA BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Taneatua W.D.F.U. was presided over by Mrs E. Hill with a good attendance of members. A report 'from the Dominion secretary and one from' the Pan-.Pacific Women's Association were read. A number of "Brave Days" the division centennial pioneer book were sold. Discussion took place regarding the taking of refugees in case of evacuation of cities and a number of names were handed into accommodate refugees. Competitions resulted: Date loaf: Mrs Frost 1, Mrs Bennett 2. Pie melon jam: Mrs Marsden 1 ; Mrs Frost 2. Double flower: Marsden 1, Mrs Tebbutt 2. Single flower: Mrs Pridcaux 1, Mrs Mitchell 2.

A vote of thanks was accorded the judge and the meeting closed with the singing of the, National Anthem.

Hostesses were Mesdames Richardson? Lynch and Bennett.
