REP. TEAM
Sir, —It was regrettable that only one selector was at the Domain, on Saturday to see "the display of Watson and Thompson. Watson is of course ruled out, but I think' that Thompson .should go into the reps.He is rugged and clever, seems to work and does plenty in the open a* well. My choice for the reps would be Hayward, Merito, Wilson, Hughes Best, Dodd, Thompson, J. Brown< r Hotene, P. Howell, Old, Oswald, Riini J. Stewart. I would play Brown in preference to other loose forwards. He is fit and very keen. HoteneV game at Te Tefeo ~ entitles him 'to the scrum position. I am not keen about playing Phil Howell at second!, but where are yocr other five-eighths? A new needed as Hohapata seems to get worse each game. It is a shame to put Oswald off the wing, but the move seems necessary. Stewart is very safe not a powerful kicker, but a good all-round fullback.
Yours etc., SIDELINER.
